Chinese expert successfully re-elected as vice chairman of IEC/SC65E

In April 2024, the International Electrotechnical Commission Enterprise Equipment and System Integration Subcommittee (IEC/SC65E) officially announced that Dr. Ding Lu, Director of the Standards and Testing Center of the Institute of Comprehensive Technical and Economic Research of Machinery Industry Instruments (hereinafter referred to as the Institute of Instruments and Meters), was successfully re-elected as Vice Chairman of IEC/SC65E with a 100% approval rate, and his term of office will be from July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2028.

The interconnection and integration of equipment and systems is an important foundation for intelligent manufacturing and the key to achieving data connectivity and digital transformation in the manufacturing industry. IEC/SC65E has 11 working groups, focusing on core technologies of intelligent manufacturing and digital transformation such as data dictionary, digital identification, predictive maintenance, information model, heterogeneous system integration (OPC UA), etc., and has released 110 international standards and is developing 36. IEC/SC65E members come from 35 countries including Germany, the United States, France, Japan, the United Kingdom, and South Korea. It is one of the most core and active international standardization organizations for intelligent manufacturing.
